Isaiah Tanenbaum
Isaiah has worked with Flux as an actor, photographer, graphic designer, playwright, composer, and man about town. He has appeared on the Flux mainstage in seven productions: Aimes (Menders), The Messenger / The Lawyer (Jacob’s House), Lee (The Lesser Seductions of History), Enoch (Angel Eaters), Flute (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Clarin (Life is a Dream), and of course, Prince Gutty (Rue), as well as countless roles in Have/Anothers, Food:Souls, and ForePlays. Isaiah’s full-length plays developed with Flux include The Transcendental Etudes and ¡Viva Fidel!.
Besides Flux, Isaiah has worked with many cool and awesome companies all over the city, including Gideon Productions, EBE Ensemble, Theatre-Studio, Inc., The NY Fringe Festival, and The Queens Players. Outside of NYC, he has worked with the NY Renaissance Faire, Vassar Powerhouse Theater, Catskills’ IDEA, and Forestburgh Regional Playhouse. Film work has included Stateside, Window Shopping, Shooting Vegetarians, Zelimo, and Troma‘s Poultrygeist.
Currently Isaiah can be found performing twice a week at the Jekyll & Hyde Club, playing either a surly French butler or a bumbling British explorer.
Isaiah holds a B.A. in Theater and Music from Amherst College. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife Jessa and their cat who thinks she’s a dog, Juno. Here’s his official actor website and here’s his official facebook page. Official!
