Will Lowry
Will Lowry is a multidisciplinary designer with an MFA in Design from UNC Greensboro and a BA in both Theatre Arts and Computer Science at Furman University, Phi Beta Kappa. He previously collaborated with Flux Theatre Ensemble as the scene designer for Ajax in Iraq and Lesser Seductions of History, the scene and costume designer for A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the charge artist for Dog Act, and the costume designer for Flux’s upcoming production of Menders.
Will has completed over fifty produced designs, including scenery for A Christmas Carol (Palace Theatre), Superstarz! Live (Celebration Myrtle Beach), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Waterside Theatre), Tuxedo Junction (Birmingham Children’s Theatre), and Madeline’s Christmas (California Theatre Center); costumes for Le Grand Cirque: Adrenaline (Sydney Opera House), Trapezium (Playhouse on Park), La Vigilia (Boo-Arts NYC Fringe), Under the Influence: Two Plays (The Tank) and Spitfire Grill (Mill Mountain); and lighting for Around the World in Eighty Days (Playhouse on Park), The Foreigner (Mill Mountain), South Pacific (Waterside Theatre), The Woman in Black (California Theatre Center) and Urinetown (Taylor Theater, UNCG).
He also provided digital graphic work for the costumes in the Broadway productions of Addams Family, Baby It’s You, and Catch Me If You Can, and the off-Broadway production of Silence! the Musical. He works regularly as a studio design assistant for five-time Tony-award winning Broadway costume designer William Ivey Long; he worked with Mr. Long as the assistant designer for Shoolbred’s and Ninth Ward, two NYC bars in the East Village.
