Workshops
Flux Sundays
In addition to our productions, we currently hold weekly workshops known as “Flux Sundays,” where we present and discuss new and re-invented plays.
We are especially interested in expanding our base of talented playwrights.
If you have an original play you would like to submit for consideration,
please contact our Artistic Director, August Schulenburg:gus@fluxtheatre.org
Food:Soul
In an effort to reach out the the Independent Theatre community while exploring plays that speak to us, Flux hosts regular potluck play-reading series which we have called “Food Soul”. The food is personally prepared by Flux members and the admission to the event is free. Past Food:Soul readings have included:
Pretty Theft by Adam Szymkowitcz
The Storm is What We Call Progress by Jason Grote
Annual Retreats
Every year, Flux members and some guest artists escape the city for a week to organize our company and explore potential future projects. The retreats take place in Nazareth, PA at a beautiful venue called Little Pond. Little Pond is owned by Bill George, the founder of Touchstone Theatre, and his wife Bridget. August 2008 marked our 3rd annual retreat.
