For Flux, Jake has appeared as an actor in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Lysander), 8 Little Antichrists (Thump), Life is a Dream (Astolfo) and the Food:Soul reading of This Storm is What We Call Progress by Jason Grote. Tiffany is a Core member of Flux. Favorite roles include Nola in Angel Eaters (Flux), Laura in Knave of Hearts (Strawberry One Act Fest), Goldie Lox in the Three Bears Hunukkah (Grove Street Playhouse), and Sylvia in Sylvia (The Little Theatre). TV/Film: Couple Hood and Mercy. All My Children, As the World Turns and One Life to Live. A graduate from the University of Central Florida (BFA), Tiffany has studied at the Chautauqua Conservatory Theatre II, and with several teachers in New York. Michael has lived in New York for over nine years and after all this time he can proclaim from the highest mountain – er skyscraper – that he’s a real New Yorker! In New York he has worked on many wonderful productions including Move Over Mrs. Markham, A Perfect Picture of Picture Perfect, Good Christian and Hamlet. He recently has been dabbling in directing in such projects as Chuck & Ginger: Thawed for Your Pleasure and B.O.P. Other roles include Ref in Never Swim Alone (Midtown International Theatre Festival/Intentional Theatre Group), Charlotte/Restriction in 36:24:36 (New York Fringe); Margot Wendice in Dial M For Murder (Cortland Repertory); Jill in Conference Room A (Kids With Guns); Mary in Vanities (Atlanta’s Neighborhood Playhouse); Dauphin in Henry V (14th Street Playhouse). She is also a professional commercial actress, model and yoga teacher. Candice is an Atlanta native and alumna of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Kelly O’Donnell (Tegan)
Kelly is a co-founder of Flux and the Marketing Director. She has directed Flux’s productions of Riding the Bull, Rue, Life is a Dream, 8 Little Antichrists and the Food:Soul reading of This Storm is What We Call Progress. She will be directing Flux’s production of J.B. in 2010. Kelly has worked with the Pennsylvania, Orlando and Utah Shakespeare Festivals, the Walnut Street Theatre, Arden Theatre, Alchemy Theatre, West End Shakespeare and the Cape Playhouse. Jason Paradine (Bobby)
Jason is a co-founder of Flux Theatre Ensemble. For Flux, Jason has been seen as an actor in Rattlers and Rue. He was set designer for Other Bodies, Riding the Bull and Life is a Dream and has served as Production Manager for all of Flux’s shows. Jason works as a carpenter at the Public Theater and can be found building scenery throughout the city with No Time for Love Productions. As an actor, production manager, carpenter and set designer, Jason has spanned the East Coast.

Christina Shipp (Lizzie)
For Flux, Christina played 13 roles in Other Bodies, Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Rosaura in Life is a Dream. Other credits: Syl in Birdhouse (K&F), Dust in Belles (Heiress Productions), Perdita in The Winter’s Tale (American Globe Theatre), Lady Macbeth in The M Game (Mir Productions), and Julia in The Tragedy of John (Theatre of the Expendable). She has also worked with Sam Gold on Mirror Transformation, a new play by Annie Baker, at the New York Theatre Workshop. Christina recently wrapped her first National Commercial and is happy to be in the numbers game. She works with The Savvy Actor in NYC and is also a student of the Lucid Body Technique with Fay Simpson.

Raushanah Simmons
Raushanah is honored to be a part of The Lesser Seductions of History. Some of her recent theatre credits include, Last Call on Bourbon Street and Anchors (Living Image Arts), Twelfth Night and The Tempest (Pulse Ensemble Theater), Mother Courage (NYSF), ScreenPlay (Flea Theater), The Tempest (Public Theatre Shakespeare Lab). Film and television credits include, Sex in City (HBO), What Would You Do (ABC), and See You in September . Raushanah was recently seen on Law & Order: SVU with Eric McCormack and is headed next to D.C. to play the role of Oya in The Studio Theatre‘s production of In The Red and Brown Water.

Isaiah Tanenbaum, Lee

This season, Isaiah has appeared with Flux in Poetic Larceny, Have Another, and the Food:Soul readings of Narrator 1 and Volleygirls. He also designed the postcards! NY credits: Humphrey/Barberosso in Knight of the Burning Pestle (Queens Players), Foster/Erm in Mary Brigit Poppleton is Writing a Memoir (Fringe NYC), and Speed in Two Gentlemen of Verona (MTS). August Schulenburg (Playwright)
August’s plays Other Bodies, Riding the Bull and Rue have been produced by Flux. Other plays include Carrin Beginning, Kidding Jane, Good Hope, Honey Fist, 19 Words, Perfect Children and Wake to Dream. His plays have been produced and developed at The Lark, Bay Area Playwrights Festival, Chelsea Playhouse, Theater for the New City, Portland Stage Company, Dayton Playhouse, Colonial Players, Contemporary Stage Company, Abingdon Theater Company, Gideon Productions, Impetuous Theater Group, Center Stage, Riot Actors Of Washington and Blue Box Productions. His work has been published in the New York Theater Review and Stage and Screen.
As an actor, August’s favorite roles include Ezekiel in 8 Little Antichrists (nominated for an NYIT Award for Lead Actor) and the Professor in Rue (both Flux), Angelo in Measure for Measure and Touchstone in As You Like It (both APAC), and has also acted at the Pennsylvania and Orlando Shakespeare Festivals and the Theater at Monmouth.
August directed Flux’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the staged reading of The Dream Chain and the Food:Soul of Volleygirls.
Heather is a co-founder of Flux Theatre Ensemble, and currently serves as the Managing and Development Director. For Flux she has directed staged readings of Jose Rivera´s Sueño and Adam Szymkowicz´s Pretty Theft and a full production of August Schulenburg´s Other Bodies for the 2008 New York International Fringe Festival for which she won the Fringe Excellence Award for “Outstanding Direction”. She also set designed Flux’s full production of Pretty Theft in April 2009. Heather recently joined Epic Theatre Ensemble as the Director of Development. She is a member of the Women’s Project Producer’s LAB (2008-2010) and serves on the Board of Directors of The Equus Projects. Heather has worked with New York Theatre Workshop, Theatre Communications Group (TCG), The Pearl Theatre Company, Fourth Arts Block (FAB), Cornerstone Theater Company, Red Bull Theater, No Time for Love Productions, Cherry Lane Theatre, and Repertorio Español.

Asa Wember (Sound Designer)
Asa is excited for his fifth show with Flux Theatre Ensemble, after “Other Bodies” and the “Angel Eaters” Trilogy last year. In the past decade Asa has been the resident sound designer for the Seven Angels Theatre in Waterbury CT, and the audio engineer for New York Theatre Workshop, and has designed for numerous companies in New York, including Blue Coyote, Wolf 359, the Intentional Theatre Group and The Assembly. His work on Flux’s “Angel Eaters” won the 2009 NYITA award for Sound Design.

Lauren Parish (Lighting Design)
Lauren holds a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College. She has been stage-managing and designing shows in and around New York City since 2006. Her lighting design has been seen at the Ontological-Hysteric Theater, The Chocolate Factory, 59E59 Theaters, 3 Legged Dog, Manhattan Theater Source, The Kraine Theater, Symphony Space, Dance Theater Workshop and Sarah Lawrence College. Angela Astle (Dramaturg)
Angela made her NY directorial debut Spring 2008 with Retro Productions’ Mill Fire (nominated for five NYITA awards). This past Spring, Angela was the Director of Flux’s critically acclaimed Pretty Theft, written by Adam Szymkowicz. She has directed numerous short plays at Manhattan Theatre Source and most recently directed two of M.Z. Ribalow’s plays: Shrunken Heads and The Reckoning. Her next project includes Down the Rabbit Hole by Erin Jividen, a one-woman musical about fairy tales gone awry opening Off-Broadway in November. Angela is a proud member of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab 2009 and Flux Theatre Ensemble.

Doug is happy to be working with the Flux Theatre Ensemble as ASM in this production. Prior to this, he assistant stage managed the Gallery Players’ production of The House of Blue Leaves.
