Wendy Caster’s review of DEINDE is up at Show Showdown, and it ends with this  energizing  quote:

“The Tony Award nominations were announced today. What a pity that they are limited to Broadway when there is work of this caliber being done just across the river.”

Please do come across the river and see what she’s talking about!

Of the reviews-that-didn’t-happen whose absence I mourn, Wendy missing the production of my Dream Walker stands high on the list. I’m particularly thrilled that she connected with the ambiguity regarding Malcolm’s actions – I am still not sure myself about the choice he makes at the end, and I’m glad that carries through. And her singling out Dara’s second act monologue also pleases me deeply – Alyssa continues to find new things every night, and her performance is indeed a thing of beauty.
