It also provides an opportunity for community-generated work in response to urgent issues. Food:Soul features free food for the audience, home cooked by the Flux community, often in partnership with Judson Memorial Church's Bailout Theater.

WHY DO WE DO IT? Food:Soul breaks the mold of traditional staged readings by developing community through developing plays. Our extreme staged reading model gives the artists and audiences a taste of the excitement of a full production, and the potluck dinner that surrounds it frames the play as a free, communal event. Food:Soul provides Flux a chance to share plays we're considering for full production with the Flux community. Projects like Breathe Free and Understand Our Ground provide our community an opportunity to process, heal, and activate around urgent issues.

[/one_half_last]

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED? Sign up for our email list if you want to be the first to hear about our next Food:Soul.
