Inspired by Flux's Core Work, our play & community development program, Flux launched Creative Cardio in 2026. Envision by Creative Partner and co-led by Chester and Creative Partner Chris Wight, these 'cardio' sessions bring community and accountability to the lonely work of writing. Participation in Creative Cardio is for members of the inFlux community (learn more and apply to join inFlux here).

Q: What is this?

A: These will be two-hour sessions every other Wednesday from 7:30pm to 9:30pm EST (4:30pm - 6:30pm PST) where we don't have Core Work. They will be held online where we just spend the time writing.

Q: So people are just going to sit in silence?

A: Yes! We will start these with our usual check-ins like we do for Core Work, maybe speak a bit about what you're going to work on and then we write. In the final 10-15 minutes of the session, we'll check-out with how it went and anything else you might want to share about your process.

Q: What kind of writing are we doing?

A: Anything you want! The space is being held for writing in general and is meant to help set aside time for people to collectively do so.

Q: Do I have to share what I write?

A: Nope! We also do not have the time. However! If you want to share your work, you can bring it to Core Work the following week!

Q: This sounds like it complements Core Work really nicely.

A: This is a comment. Not a question, but that's ok. Yes. It does. You might wanna do some Cardio with that Core Work to get a six-pack.

Q: Is someone hosting this?

A: Yes, that will be Chester Poon and Chris Wight.

Q: Can I join late or leave early?

A: Sure! These are meant to be really low-key and laid-back. If the time is not good for you, but you can make the final hour or can only make the first hour, that's not a problem. Just jump on!
