Fear & Wonder

Every love story is a prophecy

by Jason Tseng  ·  directed by Emily Hartford

Forced to share a room at a conservative Christian summer camp, picture-perfect Ryan and cynical rebel Jabez expect nothing but a week of forced prayers. Instead, their late-night debates spark a magnetic, dangerous attraction that threatens everything they know. When the real world crashes in, will the fear of losing it all tear them apart, or will they risk everything to make something wonderful?

Living Ticket

Flux uses an economic justice model called the Living Ticket. There's no financial barrier to attendance, but we encourage those who can give to do so at one of three levels:
-$26 per ticket to support our Current Budget (NYC minimum wage);
-$53 per ticket for our Living Wage Budget (per MIT); and
-$66 per ticket for our Holistic Wage Budget, which includes compensation for unpaid volunteer administrative labor by Creative Partners.
Together, we can help everyone access the arts while providing dignified lives for all workers, including theatre workers.

Reserve your ticket for Fear & Wonder today and learn more about the Living Ticket here.

"Sacred Texts" Book Swap

To welcome you into the world of Fear & Wonder, we are producing an interactive pre-show experience in the lobby of the theater. One of those will be a Sacred Texts station—but sacred texts are so much big than religious books. Jabez and Ryan teach us that every love story is a prophecy. We believe the divine is scattered across the pages of any book you hold dear.

At the start of the run, there will be a collection of books that are meaningful to the team behind Fear & Wonder. We invite you to bring any book that you find meaningful and to exchange it with any other book at the station. In this way, the collection of sacred stories will evolve night to night, in just the same way that our understanding of God is always evolving.

At the conclusion of the run, we will donate the remaining books to an organization serving vulnerable populations so if you’d like to leave one or more books behind without taking any, you can.
