THE ELEPHANT PLAY Spotlight: Emily Rondon

We’re thrilled to continue the creative team of The Elephant Play by Kelly O’Donnell with stage manager Emily Rondon! Emily is a collaborator and stage manager for Flux’s Portal Project, and we’re delighted to collaborate with her on this project. The questions are inspired by Kelly’s beautiful play—make sure to RSVP for the 6/27 and 6/28 readings in NYC!

Do you have a favorite fact about elephants? If so, please share it.

Elephants are one of the few animals who can recognize themselves in the mirror.

Who is your favorite fictional pachyderm?

In all seriousness, Moto Moto from Madagascar 2.

Elephants are fabled to never forget. What’s your memory like these days?

I’m approaching the age where my mind can not recall specific moments/memories unless someone describes it in heavy detail to jog my memory. With my memory fading before me, I have dedicated more time to writing things down (on paper or on my phone) so I can recall the beautiful moments I have lived more often.

Emily Rondon (she/her) is an NYC based production & stage manager. Her credits include Atlantic Theatre Company’s What Became of Us (Production Assistant), Delirious Dances’s 3 Rites Performance Series (Stage Manager), EnGarde Art’s Downtown Stories (Tour Manager), and most recently, Oye Group’s Mercedes (Stage Manager).
