WHAT IS FOOD:SOUL?  Flux’s potluck play development series provides a rigorous 15-hour rehearsal process for an extreme staged reading of a play that Flux is passionate about. Food:Soul also features free food for the audience, home cooked by the Flux community.

WHY DO WE DO IT?  Food:Soul breaks the mold of traditional staged readings by developing community through developing plays. Our extreme staged reading model gives the artists and audiences a taste of the excitement of a full production, and the potluck dinner that surrounds it frames the play as a free, communal event. Food:Soul also provides Flux a chance to share plays we’re considering for full production with the Flux community.

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?  Sign up for our email list if you want to be the first to hear about our next Food:Soul. If you want to join in as an artist or a volunteer, email Community Director Matthew Archambault.
