Join us for a staged reading of Portal Magic Consensus Time

What if there was a universe where the COVID-19 pandemic never happened? How would your life be different? What would you talk about with that other version of you? And if you could…would you cross through a portal into that other world?

In Portal Magic Consensus Time, a group of theatremakers have discovered just such a portal, only they’re not sure what to do with it. Share it with the world, or only those they trust? Or make sure no one else ever opens it again? Join us for a staged reading of this participatory play where together we’ll decide what to do with this portal magic.

The staged reading of Portal Magic Consensus Time will be held at 7:30pm on Wednesday, 12/13, at ART/NY 520 8th Avenue, 3rd floor, Aibel Room. Please reserve your tickets here. Portal Magic Consensus Time is created by and features (actors designated by a ^): Heather Cohn, Sarah Elizabeth Grace^, Fiona Hansen^, Miranda Holliday^, Montserrat Mendez^, Emily Rondon, Corinna Schulenburg^, Jason Tseng, and Justin Woo^.

Portal Magic Consensus Time is a part of Flux’s Portal Project, a ritual performance where actors, and then the audience, engage in conversations with versions of themselves from an alternate universe where the COVID-19 pandemic never happened. Portal Project will serve grief work to help process the many losses of the pandemic and to better honor and value the good in these past few years.
